Hey there! I just arrived in Copenhagen after an exciting and rather overwhelming tour on the North American and Canadian West coast, with the Danish trio Lydom, Bugge & Høirup. This way, thanks to our wonderful audience, we began this new year with a great success.
During this tour, accordionist and harmonica player Sonnich Lydom, fiddler Kristian Bugge and I, myself, on guitar and vocals, has been giving workshops as well as playing dances, performed direct on the air on a couple of radio stations, and played quite a few concerts in folk clubs and Scandinavian Heritage centres, in Washington and Oregon, and in British Columbia.
We have met a large and very enthusiastic audience, of which many obviously are descendants of Scandinavian immigrants, and pretty curious about traditional Danish music and dance.
Now I am back home, jet lagged, and busy working on the many tasks on my desk, while at the same time, looking forward to a year of several tours in The US together with the trio.
