Jensen, Bugge & Høirup

The collaboration between accordion player Mette Kathrine Jensen, violinist Kristian Bugge and myself has quietly grown over the past few years.

We have, among other things, recorded with the old Danish-American fiddler, accordion player and tradition bearer, Dwight "Red" Lamb, and in 2014 released the album "Live in Denmark 2", together with Dwight.

Already in 2013 we traveled to Québec in Canada to play at a big accordion festival in Montmagny, and in 2014 we recorded an album of melodies related to music director Borcher Madsen, who lived on Lolland Falster who lived on Lolland-Falster and who in July 2015 would have been 200 years old. The album "Slid din tid" was released in June 2015, and received good reviews around the world.

In 2017, we played with Dwight Lamb around Denmark and at the folkBaltica festival in Flensburg and Ecernsförde, as a trio in the Faroe Islands in July and in Danseladen at Musik over Præstø Fjord Festival in August.

In 2018 we played a tour around Denmark, and in 2019 we toured with Dwight in the USA where we, among other things, played at Nisswa Stämman in Minnesota. Find out much more at: www.dktrio.dk
