On Saturday 8 September 2018, I will play a couple of concerts at the small northern German Windros Festival in Schwerin-Muess, an hour's drive from Lübeck, under the title: Windros Festival - "Weisen der Westsee".

Here, according to tradition, a number of specially invited musicians from different countries meet and give individual concerts, while at the same time rehearsing for Saturday evening's big joint concert.

In this connection, I am looking forward to performing with the Danish accordion player Jesper Vinther, also known from i.a. the band Phønix.

On this very special occasion, Jesper and I play a mixture of traditional Danish music, old Danish songs and self-composed music - all arranged for accordion, guitar and singing.

It will be super exciting to play with Jesper Vinther for the very first time, it's actually funny that we've known each other for so many years, without ever playing together, but now we have the chance.

I am also sure that it will be really intense getting to know the other musicians at the festival and together with them participating in the big joint concert on Saturday evening.

There will be something to look forward to - there will be practice and discussion, and not least a selection from among the many melodies and songs the current musicians bring to the joint set list.

Among the musicians at Windros Festival we find:

The Fugitives (CAN), Cairo Steps (EGY/IRQ/D), Gavin Marwick & Ruth Morris (SCO),
I Liguriani (IT), Simon Mayor & Hilary James (GB), Morten Alfred Høirup (DK), Wolfgang Meyering (D), Arezzo Rezvani (IR), Windros Orchester (Intern.) etc.
